Seminar 6: System dynamics & Fishbanks, 4h

Preparations

• Go through the introduction to system dynamics and the game Fishbanks on Snowflake Education. You will need to demonstrate that you have understood the concepts of the game in advance by handing in and bringing a 1 page summary to the seminar of the online video on system dynamics and how the game works as described in the rules found on Snowflake Education.

We will start by recapping system dynamics, and discuss questions on what the concept means and students will get to explain the concept in class. Also, we will review the rules of the game Fishbanks, and each team will get to present a section of the rules for the rest of the class.

Then, we will play the game during 2 hours, where each team acts as a participant in the game. Finally, we will have a debriefing session on the outcome of the game and how to apply systems thinking as a computer science professional.

1 page summary of the online video on system dynamics and how the game works as described in the rules pdf.
