TDDD53 Advanced Interaction Design

Examination

The course consists of three parts:

  1. Seminars (individual)
There are two seminars after which each student submit a summary of a research paper and a more general abstract of the group discussion. Students have two weeks to prepare for each seminar. Ask the teacher if you want further feedback on your seminar work. Possible marks: U (fail)/G (pass)
  2. Project (group)
Each group will use experience goals to design an interactive experience for an external client. Individual students can receive a different grade than the rest of the group. Feedback is given during teaching sessions, presentations, and in interactions with clients. Possible marks: U (fail)/G (pass)
  3. Reflection (individual, decides course grades)
After the group project each student submits a document in which the project is described and analysed. A critical reflection that uses and cites the mandatory readings is also required. General feedback is given in writing to the entire class. Possible marks: U (fail)/3/4/5 for the engineering students and U (fail)/G/VG for the CogSci students.

Part 1 and 3 correspond to Individual assignment in the course syllabus and is worth 3 ECTS.

Part 2 is the Group assignment worth 3 ECTS.

Mandatory parts

The seminars are conducted in the project groups. Participation is mandatory but can be moved slightly in time to make sure all group members can attend. No rooms are booked since the groups decide for themselves where the seminars take place.

Participation at the presentation is mandatory. If you miss the presentation you will need to read two group reports and write a 2-4 page summary plus reflection on similarities and differences between the reports and the work conducted by your own group. In addition, the work described in the reports and the your own group's work should be related to the course literature.
