Deadlines

The final deadlines are the same dates as the dates of the written exams, although it is highly recommended to hand in labs as early as possible during the course. If you have received comments that require you to improve your solutions, hand in updated versions at latest 2 weeks after the exam date.

IMPORTANT: After 2026-07-01, it is not guaranteed that the accounts on NSC are still available.

Submission Rule:

A GitLab repository will be assigned once you sign up in pairs via WebReg. For each submission and resubmission, please send an email to your lab assistant with the subject line as an example:

"COURSE_CODE-GROUP_NUMBER_ON_WEBREG-LiUID-LiUID-BDA1"

For all RDB lab submissions, please send your code/report to Huanyu Li (huanyu.li@liu.se).

For all BDA1 and BDA2 lab submissions, please send your code/report to Huanyu Li (huanyu.li@liu.se) or Felix Ramnelöv (felra653@student.liu.se), according to the group assignments on Webreg.

For all BDA3 lab submissions, please send your code/report to Johan Alenlöv (johan.alenlov@liu.se).

In your submission emails, please include a link to your GitLab repository in the email. To log into GitLab, you can use your LiU ID.

For the time being, it is not permitted to use AI-based assistants such as ChatGPT for solving any of the assignments.

Account information

  • Only For 732A54: For the labs on relational databases you will need an account on a database server provided by LiU IT. Normally such a database account is created for you when you register for the course and you should have been notified via e-mail. If you already have such a database account from some previous course, this account can be used also for this course. If you have forgotten the password for your database account (or you do not anymore have the aforementioned notification email), you can request a new password. The lab assistant and the examiner cannot help you with password issues.
  • 732A54 and TDDE31: For the labs in the NSC environment, you will need a special account. Information on how to obtain this account is available here. Note that the teachers in the course may require access to a special directory in your account for grading your exercises.
