Thesis Projects

We are happy to supervise and/or examine Master’s theses related to natural language processing and text mining – both internal projects (related to our own research) and external projects (commissioned by a company or organisation from the public sector).

  • Internal projects are advertised on this webpage.
  • Many external projects are advertised via the university’s central job portal, CareerGate.

Note that we do not currently supervise Bachelor’s theses.

Open proposals

Requirements

Before contacting us with requests for supervision and/or examination, please make sure that you meet the following requirements:

  • You have a project that fits in our subject area. The lists of completed thesis projects below should give you a good idea of what kind of projects we are interested in, and are competent to supervise and/or examine.

  • You have successfully completed (or are currently attending) Master’s-level courses in our subject area, such as Natural Language Processing (729A27, TDDE09) and Text Mining (732A92, TDDE16).

  • You are able to carry out the thesis project during the Spring term. (We apply a structured process for supervision with three mandatory seminars. We do not generally supervise thesis projects during the Autumn term.)
