Course description

The course is given for the master students in "Statistics and machine Learning" but can be also taken as a single subject course by the students satisfying entry requirements (such are the majority of students from other technical master programs or students from the engineer programs.) The aim of the course is to learn theoretical models and modern practical tools for data visualization and visual data analysis. The course includes both static visual tools for data analysis and more advanced tools for interactive and dynamic visualization.


Course literature

The course book is "Interactive Data Visualization" by Ward, Grinstein and Keim. Second edition, ISBN 9781482257373.
In addition,  selected research papers, manuals and documentation will cover different course topics. Here are some examples of visualizations that the students will learn to create and analyse (test to click, drag and zoom! )
