Examination
The examination consists of one written exam.
Students failing the exam two times are entitled to have a new examiner
appointed for the reexamination.
Students who have passed an exam may not retake it in order to improve their grades.
Take LiU-card and another valid ID/passport to exam.
Bonus points:
Active participation at indicated exercise sessions gives bonus points to the exam. A student who earns the bonus points will have the points added to the exam result.
To earn bonus points a student must be present and active in marked exercise sessions. Active participation means that the student has made an attempt to solve every exercise indicated for the given session before the respective session and is able to present the solution on the board during the session. Active participation also means that the student gives help and comments to the classmates' presented solutions.
The grade limits on the written exam are (out of 20 points):
A: 18p
B: 16p
C: 14p
D: 12p
E: 10p.
Help materials for written exam: On the exam you will be allowed to have one double-sided A4 page of own handwritten (i.e., NOT printed out) notes.
Reporting on the exam a probability outside the [0,1] interval or a negative variance without a comment that a mistake must have been made somewhere will result in a NEGATIVE point for each such instance.
