PhD student, Service Design
My PhD project focuses on the early stage of Service Design projects. How do service designers create an understanding of the design space? How do they involve various stakeholders such as (the future) users and employees? How do they make sure that these insights are kept vivid throughout the design process, and how they communicate the insights to their clients?
The research issues I'm interested in on a broader basis are within the fields of Service Design & Interaction Design. I'm particularly interested in issues regarding how to understand the user - naturally from a methodologywise side but also on how to overbridge differences in worldview, be they cultural or sociocultural.
