The Department of Computer and Information Science (IDA) has postgraduate education in two core subjects: computer science and computer systems. In addition to these core subjects, graduate education also covers several interdisciplinary areas in which computer science and computer systems are involved.

Graduate education areas:
  • Cognitive Science
  • Cognitive Systems
  • Computational Linguistics
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Systems
  • Applied Informatics
  • Statistics

Each graduate performs research within a research laboratory while taking courses from the entire department and, in some cases, from other departments. The education is administered by a Director of Graduate Studies and a secretariat. An extensive part of the graduate education at IDA is carried out in a number of graduate schools.
