Course structure

This course centers around a series of open seminars combined with researcher seminars. There are between 3 and 4 such occasions every semester, and in total are 4 hours in length.
Students are expected to participate in these seminars, prepare by reading and commenting on related work. Related work will be distributed beforehand, when applicable.
Preparatory work should be shared with the examiner, and be used as a foundation for the discussion during the researcher seminar. A written reflection should be submitted after the course. More specific instructions will be sent to participating PhD students.

Course content

The seminars focus on research topics and challenges in the intersection between design and the public sector. The speakers are invited to give an open seminar, and then to discuss with a group of researchers about their research.
The specific topics for the seminars are sent out with the course information after registering for the course.

Course schedule

Seminars are held on four Friday afternoons between 1330-16, jan 24th, feb 21st, mar 21st and apr 25th. The seminars planned for spring 2025 are by Johan Redström, Ramia Mazé, Marie Louise Juul Söndergaard and Pelle Kristensson.
