The course is mainly intended for PhD students in cognitive science as well as PhD students in computer science, with an interest in vehicle automation, human factors, etc.

Goals

The main goal is to familiarize students with traffic-psychological research traditions and concepts as well as the application of psychological perspectives in the transport sector.

Prerequisites

Some basic background in cognitive science, human-machine interaction, human factors, or automated vehicles.

Organization

The course consists of seminars, coursework and self-study.

Contents

The course addresses the perspectives of cognitive, social, emotion and neuro-psychology, as well as different methodological approaches, and their application to the transport sector.
