Goals

To obtain an understanding of natural user interface technology, making the body the interaction device. Body movement and gesture detection, hand and head tracking, gaze interaction and other ways of controlling the computer with the body and mind.

Prerequisites

Some basic understanding of programming. All students will perform programming exercises to work with kinect and build a small program capturing a non-trivial body-interaction or hand-interaction.

Organization

A workshop series, testing different technologies and applications such as the kinect

Individual or group projects developing small applications for kinect.

Writing and presenting a technology survey on NUI-technology.
