Goals
To obtain familiarity with the concepts of dependability and means to measure some attributes of it such as reliability and availability. The focus of the course will be understanding how some fault tolerance techniques work.
Prerequisites
Computer science and engineering undergraduate degree
Contents
Hardware and software fault tolerance, Fault-tolerant (FT) networks and resilience, Checkpointing, FT Architectural principles, Measuring fault tolerance.
Organization
The course will be organised as combination of lectures and seminars, depending on the number of participants.
