6th International Workshop on Multi-/Many-core Computing Systems
(MuCoCoS-2013)

September 7, 2013, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

in conjunction with the 22nd International Conference on
Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques (PACT-2013)

Author Information

Authors of accepted (including conditionally accepted) papers please follow the following guidelines for the preparation of camera-ready papers for both pre-workshop (USB) and post-workshop (to be submitted to IEEE Xplore) proceedings of MuCoCoS-2013.
In case of questions please contact mucocos2013 (at) ida.liu.se.

Author/presenter registration

At least one author of each accepted paper needs to register early for MuCoCoS-2013 and present the paper at the workshop. We reserve the right to exclude a paper from publication in the post-workshop proceedings otherwise.

IEEE Copyright form

Please fill, sign, and scan the IEEE copyright form for your paper, and send it to christoph.kessler (at) liu.se with cc to sabri.pllana (at) lnu.se by 7 july 2013.
Without the copyright form your paper cannot be published.
The copyright form is required both for pre- and post-workshop proceedings.

More information about copyright transfer to IEEE can be found here.

On the copyright form, use the following name for the IEEE publication title (conference):

2013 IEEE 6th International Workshop on Multi-/Many-core Computing Systems (MuCoCoS)

Preparation of camera-ready papers

Prepare the final version of your paper, taking the reviewer comments carefully into account, and format it with a maximum of 10 pages, using the IEEEtran.sty template (with the conference option).

Adding the IEEE Copyright Notice:
  • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is:
U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
  • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is:
    978-1-4799-1010-6/13/$31.00 ©2013 Crown
  • For all other papers the copyright notice is:
    978-1-4799-1010-6/13/$31.00 ©2013 IEEE

LaTeX users please add the following lines just before \begin{document} for the copyright notice to show up (shown below as an example for the third case above):

\IEEEoverridecommandlockouts
\IEEEpubid{\makebox[\columnwidth]{978-1-4799-1010-6/13/\$31.00~\copyright~2013 IEEE \hfill}
\hspace{\columnsep}\makebox[\columnwidth]{ }}

MS-Word users can use: "Insert" -> "Text box", insert the appropriate copyright notice in the textbox and place the box (without border) at the bottom left on the first page.

PDF eXpress-PLUS information

We use PDF validation via IEEE PDF-eXpress-PLUS to guarantee IEEE Xplore (R) compatible PDF files.
  1. Access the IEEE PDF eXpress Plus site.
  2. For each conference paper, click "Create New Title".
  3. Enter identifying text for the paper (title is recommended but not required).
  4. Click "Submit PDF for Checking" or "Submit Source Files for Conversion".
  5. Indicate platform, source file type (if applicable), click Browse and navigate to file, and click "Upload File". You will receive online and email confirmation of successful upload.
  6. You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF eXpress Plus-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.
  7. For the pre-workshop (USB) proceedings, send your IEEE PDF eXpress Plus-converted PDF to christoph.kessler (at) liu.se with cc to sabri.pllana (at) lnu.se by 7 July 2013.
  8. For the post-workshop (Xplore) proceedings, you may update your file on the PDF eXpress Plus site by 14 september 2013 (i.e., 1 week after the workshop).

Note that IEEE may not include papers in IEEE Xplore whose PDF format is not IEEE Xplore compatible.

Hint for Microsoft Word users: The standard settings for the built-in PDF creation in Word 2007/2010 are not Xplore-compatible (in particular, not all fonts are embedded). For further information see e.g. IEEE's PDF specification v4.12 (May 2013), Sections 2 and 6.
