Beginning with the September, 1997 issue, the News Journal for a given month contains the accumulated and edited contents of the Newsletters during the same month. The preparation, final editing, and checkout of each News Journal takes a certain time, which is reflected by the delays indicated above.

The issues designated "printed style" are published in postscript format based on formatting in Latex, and are suitable for printout and reading off line. The issues designated "webpage style" are suitable for reading on line. The "Digest" is a variant of the "Full journal" containing links to other parts of the structure instead of including full text directly.

The News Journals of May 1997 and July 1997 were edited directly and were not based on Newsletters.
