Piotr Rudol


I am a graduate student at the Knowledge Processing lab [KPLAB] at the division of Artificial Intelligence and Integrated Computer Systems [AIICS] at the Department of Computer and Information Science [IDA] at Linköping university [LiU].

I am working on non-GPS navigation techniques for UAVs (also flying indoors) and “see and avoid” functionalities which enable UAVs to navigate in unknown environments. I am working on techniques which enable UAVs to sense their environment using passive (vision - monocular & stereo / color & IR) and active sensors (lasers). I am very interested in computer vision algorithms which allow UAVs to perform sophisticated missions and which are suitable for on-board execution (also in mini & micro scale UAVs).
