Inter-organizational systems for public services in the local community

This project aspires to become the international edge application of inter-organizational systems for collaboration in public services. The specific aim is to use participative methods to design an organizational and technical network for support of boundary-crossing teamwork between local public service organizations. In the project, front-line competence in informatics are integrated with expertise in organizational development. With the point of departure in models for virtual evaluations, inter-organizational public service collaboration in a local community will be supported by a telematics infrastructure. As a basis for the project, a systems design method for design of inter-organizational systems will be developed.The results will lead to a model for inter-organizational systems which will:

• thoroughly innovate effectiveness and productivity in public service organizations
• provide a method for coordination of information networks used by public services
• radically improve work satisfaction of public services employees by reduction of uncertainty and increase of feedback in case management.
