Back to Postdoc Program

Sudipta Chattopadhyay

I am currently a CUGS post-doctoral researcher at Embedded Systems Laboratory (ESLAB), Department of Computer and Information Science (IDA) in Linköping University.

I have received my PhD in Computer Science from National University of Singapore (NUS) in January, 2013. I hold a masters degree (M.E.) in Computer Science and Automation from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India and a Bachelor degree (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Before joining the PhD program, I worked as a research and development engineer in Synopsys for 18 months.

Broadly I am interested in program analysis and compilers with a specific focus on real-time, embedded software and parallel programs. More details about me and my research can be found here: http://www.ida.liu.se/~sudch88/

CUGS experience:

"I feel grateful to be provided a CUGS post-doctoral fellowship. Whereas there exists a number of reasons that make this fellowship a wonderful experience, I outline three main points and reason about my assessment. First of all, I was hosted in the Embedded Systems Lab (ESLAB), which is well known for its world-class research in embedded and real-time systems. This gave me plenty of opportunities to interact with many experienced researchers in embedded systems, software engineering and verification. Secondly, CUGS fellowship provided complete freedom to me to perform independent research, as well as collaborating with different faculty members and PhD students. Finally, I am fortunate to have the opportunity in offering a graduate course completely on my own, as well as co-teaching an undergraduate course. All these helped me to immensely improve my teaching skills ."
