The following are a few of the questions that arise in the course of my research:
These topics may seem to be disparate and with few connections, but in fact they are related in several interesting ways, and they can be seen as concrete manifestations of some even larger, underlying issues. Those underlying issues can however not be addressed in isolation and in the abstract; they can only be addressed and explained in the context of their concrete manifestations such as those shown above.
I operate a number of research activities that address questions such as these. Like the questions themselves, these activities may seem diverse, but in fact they have a common, underlying structure and are part of an overall strategy.
The purpose of the CAISOR Website Cluster is to present these research activities and the results being achieved, both in concrete terms and with respect to underlying issues. The cluster is designed so as to be both multi-faceted and connected. The presentation is multi-faceted in order to speak the language of different readers that are interested in different parts and aspects of the overall structure.
In order to achieve its goals, the presentation must also be connected in the sense that the connections between the various topics are made clear and are put to good use.
The catalog page describes how this body of information is organized, and contains links to the participating sites with research contents. The propositions page is debate-oriented: it will contain the positions that I take and the "theses" that I propose, with links to additional arguments and supporting information in the various CAISOR sites. The CAISOR Hyperbook and Archive is the major site within this cluster, and is the centerpiece of the website structure.
