Abstract:

The present memo is the first of several intended periodic reports on design issues and design evolution in the Leonardo computation system. It focuses on two particular aspects of the system by the end of January, 2007:

  • The list of knowledgeblocks representing the kernel and platform, and those representing experimental applications, with a brief explanation of the purpose of each of them and the level of completion and of use.
  • An account of the present state of the Leonardo ontology, and of the changes in the ontology since the previously documented design. A number of points are identified where the choice of appropriate design is not obvious.
