Robert Eklund’s Travel Page

It is hard to find good links at a general level here, but travel has always been a favourite activity of mine. When I was young I visited most countries in Europe, and later on I’ve been happy enough to travel the world extensively, mainly the USA (where I have visited 25 states), Asia and Australia, leaving only South America untouched among the continents (well, Antarctica is also untouched). So far, I have visited around 45 countries (with a minimum requirement that you leave the airport/train station).

I can’t put more than a fraction of my many thousand travel pictures on this website, but a few samples appear on the Papua New Guinea pages (press buttons above).

During the period August 2005 through mid-February 2006 I worked and lived in Berkeley, CA, so I thought I’d provide you with a panoramic picture of the Bay Area (you know, the Golden Gate, San Francisco, Berkeley across the bay etc.).

Since it’s quite fun to create panoramas I could not help but put another one here from my 2008 trip (Nile cruise) to Egypt, a fascinating experience.
