• OpenModelica 1.8.1 or later recommended.
• Windows users need OMDEV checked out to C:/OMDev (username: anonymous, password: none (4 letters)). OMDev is a Unix environment for Windows containing everything needed to compile OpenModelica (and this course material).
• Mac and Linux users optionally need to install RML (available through apt-get or macports as package rml-mmc). (The course material does not require it).
• Eclipse (a dependency of MDT)
• MDT - the Eclipse plugin used as development environment (a full copy including Eclipse is provided, if you don't have it installed). (0.7.12+ recommended)

• The MetaModelica language 1.0 and 2.0 are included in the course material, or on ep.liu.se
• Old instructions are also available, but outdated.
• As an alternative (NOTE: probably outdated; use the version of exercises that correspond to the date this image was last changed or update the software on the image) to installing all the different packages, a VirtualBox disk image (2.3GB) can be used (unzip it, attach it to a new VM and run).
