It happend to me too to have it to force it to compile. I looked at versions. I have version 0.4.0 from here: http://www.ida.liu.se/~pelab/modelica/OpenModelica/MDT/ You can see which version of MDT you have by going to Help->Software Updates->Manage Configuration. Also it seems I have 0.1 there too, but I don't think that's the problem. Look into Window->Show View->Othere->PDE Runtime-> Error log, for the exceptions thrown. Maybe you have something there. Do you have OPENMODELICAHOME pointing to your omc.exe directory? I have that set to the latest release of OpenModelica.
