Manufacturing Control System Principles
Supporting Error Recovery

ABSTRACT
This paper argues that manufacturing control systems should be structured to
retain information used while specifying the system so it may be reused during
error recovery situations. An example of such a system (the Aramis system) and
its proposed error recovery capabilities is presented.
