SIMS'99

THE DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 15

The 1999 meeting of SIMS (Scandinavian Simulation Society) will be arranged in Linköping (Sweden) by Prof. Peter Fritzson, Department of Computer Science and Information Science, Linköping University with co-organizers Dr. Mats Jirstrand, MathCore AB, Tommy Persson, Gunilla Norbäck, Bodil Mattsson, Linköping University.

The date for the meeting is October 18-20. The meeting will be held in "Konsert och Kongress" in the center of Linköping.

Meeting Aims

The major aim of the conference is to give people interested in simulation from both academia and industry a chance to meet and to exchange ideas as well as to present new results and products.

You are invited to present a paper at this conference. The conference is informal and has workshop character. Therefore, previously published relevant work can be presented, as well as ongoing work with preliminary results.

The conference theme of 1999 is multi-domain simulation, i.e. simulation of systems composed of parts from different application domains. The conference also covers traditional areas such as tools and technology, mechanical systems, process applications, thermodynamics and fluid flow, control applications, etc.

Send the title, author lists and address via email to sims99@ida.liu.se

Send the abstract via email to sims99@ida.liu.se

Submit papers by sending a Ghostview-readable Postscript file or a pdf-file containing the paper to sims99@ida.liu.se. Alternatively, send three copies of the paper by postal mail to Peter Fritzson, PELAB/IDA, Linköpings universitet, SE-581 83 Linköping, Sweden; concurrently send an e-mail to sims99@ida.liu.se notifying that the paper version has been sent. The paper copy should arrive before the submission deadline.

In accordance with the previous meetings, papers need not be unpublished but should reflect the content of the presentation. Local proceedings will be printed and distributed to the participants.

Industry Track and Exhibition

The meeting will also include a commercial track with product presentations and demonstrations, as well as an exhibition. Please contact Dr. Mats Jirstrand (mats@mathcore.se) if you want to take part in these activities.
