You should select two out of the three theoretical courses and four out of the other core courses stated above and finish them before your PhD defence.
Licentiate level requirements (or 60% minimum level when licentiate is not applicable): Two out of the theoretical courses and at least one of the other core courses - and that course should be outside your own research area.
Some courses are given each year, some every second year – and the plan above is dependent on enough participants. Courses are given if we have at least five LiU PhD students registered.
