The Leonardo system is the object and product of a design experiment concerning the possibility of a simple, flexible and general purpose design for the overall software system in a conventional, PC-type computer.
Besides standard scientific publications on the conceptual and theoretical aspects of the work, the Leonardo project wishes to post various kinds of data pertaining to the evolution of its system design. This is done in accordance with the methodological principles of 'design iteration' and the systematic follow-up of design change, which are put forth in the website open space for methodology.
The entire development information structure for the Leonardo project is organized as the Leonardo design evolution webspace, which is organized as an amalgam of brief 'webnotes' in HTML formats, and longer 'project memos' in pdf or similar versions. The following is a complete list of those Leonardo project memos that have been released at this time and that are included in the website.
Please notice, however, that the Leonardo design evolution website presents these memos and other information in a logical reading order, whereas the list shown here has no ambition of being pedagogical.
