Attached files: The following are examples of alternative front pages of a hypothetical research article which have been generated by the LABMOP facility developed in this project. These front pages reflect the various stages of development of the article, and some of them contain text that is required by a journal publisher, or that is otherwise motivated by the parallel publishing situation.
  • working: restricted distribution
  • prepub: the article advertises its own index pages where information about its eventual journal publication can later be posted
  • submitted: in the case of a journal with double-blind reviewing
  • submitted-updated: for the case where the article has been accepted for publication, but the publisher will only allow the originally submitted version of the article to be parallel-published
  • final: accepted for publication after peer review and revision; final version as sent to the journal publisher. By definition, volume, issue and page numbers are not available for inclusion on the front page
  • final-updated: like the previous case, but bibliographic data have been made available. Used for very limited circulation
  • postpub: regular post-publication of the article, where the front page contains the standard texts required by the journal publisher.
