Persistence of CAISOR Archive Pages

This is a forwarding page. You will soon be transported to the current version of the selected page. If this doesn't happen automatically, click here. an article provided that each version is timestamped, but it is not acceptable to post a version of an article claiming an incorrect (too early) publication date. Since such discipline is not enforced by the WWW design, it has to be provided by commitments and safeguards on the side of the publisher, and by separate verification systems.

With respect to publications and index pages in the CAISOR Archive (please see the item for "Archive Organization" for an explanation of the term "index pages") the idea is that each index page has a URL that will be maintained for the foreseeable future, and that the index page contains links to the full text of the article, in one or more versions. The exact location of the full text file may change over time, for example if it is deposited into an electronic library. The index page stays at its fixed URL, but its links to the full text is updated when the latter is moved.

Links to the full text will be set up for open access whenever allowed, but links that are only available for subscribers will also be used. The icon or text containing the link will distinguish clearly between open and controlled links.

The entire CAISOR structure is presently posted on the website of the Computer Science Department at Linköping University, Sweden. We will try to negotiate that it will always be accessible using links beginning with http://www.ida.liu.se/ext/caisor/.... If at some point in the future that should no longer be possible, then please search for it under the name CAISOR using a search engine.
