Travel to and from Linköping

Linköping is located about 200 kilometers (120 miles) to the south-west of Stockholm. How do you get there? There are various ways. Linköping is well-connected to major roads (the E4 freeway), rail routes, and his its own regional airport with flights to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö. Flying via Copenhagen

Through airfares from European and Scandinavian destinations to Linköping (LPI) or Norrköping (NRK: the town next up the road) are available if you fly SAS or one of the Star Alliance partners to Copenhagen Airport (CPH). 

In Copenhagen you can connect onto SAS or SAS subsidiary flights to Linköping or Norrköping. The service to Linköping is a little lighter during weekends, you may find a better connection time at Norrköping. 

From Norrköping you can take either a taxi to Linköping (about 500 Skr, 50 dollars) or the train. If you wish to take the train to Linköping, take a taxi to the Norrköping railway station and check out the Swedish Railways for train times. You can also travel to Linköping from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) directly by train. To Sweden by train or boat

International trains and buses are also an option. Since last summer, Sweden is connected to the European mainland by the Öresund bridge which connects Copenhagen and Malmö. This means that train an bus connections are available without having to board a ferry to cross over into Sweden. From Norway there are various train routes into Sweden, and multiple ferries go to Stockholm from Finland.
