Staffan Larsson, Professor of Adult Education at Linköping University, is Chairman for NERA/NFPF - the Nordic Educational Research Association, for MIMER - the National Programme for Research on Popular Education, and for the network-based graduate school in Adult Learning. To understand adult and popular adult education in a broader context is a prominent feature of the research in the research-group he is leading. His own research has since 1977 been concerned with fundamental problems in adult education as the pedagogy of teachers in adult education, unskilled workers relation to studies and decision-making in the adult education classroom. Research on study circles its significance generally and in relation to democracy has been a recent interest. He has so far published 115 texts - books, articles, reports and papers.
