Having a course plan, i.e., a studiehandbook, is Swedish law.

The process which assembles the studie handbook is pretty complicated, and done year by year. In my opinion, this is too much of a good thing. But since the studiehandbook is so detailed, it is necessary: there is not much freedom of interpretation.
Two new projects are producing documentation for the processes.

Schema administration and dates for courses

If you want to do a course at LIU, you have to allocate it a slot in the schema.

Form: The schema administration sends a form to you (usually in the middle of the period before), and expects an answer within a week. Hurry up!

Line Commitees (Utbildningsnämnder)

A Nämnd meets every 2 months. It has several subcommitees:

The LoT. It meets every 14 days and discusses all problems. You can ask to take part in LoT meetings.
The Verkställende Avdelningen (VA), consists of two people and decides many simple things.
