Human-Centered Systems (HCS)

Rogier is a PhD Candidate in the field of Cognitive Systems Engineering at Linköping University, Sweden. His PhD research focuses on functional modeling and the analysis of constraints in complex socio-technical systems, mainly in emergency/crisis management, command and control, and aviation safety. He received his MSc-degree in Artificial Intelligence (2001) from the Free University of Amsterdam and his LicEng-degree in Quality and Human-Systems Engineering (2005) from Linköping University.

Projects

  • En Route Air Traffic Soft Management Ultimate System (ERASMUS)
  • Adaptive Technology (part III) - Modeling Constraints in Command and Control (synopsis)

Teaching

Since the autumn term of 2007 I have been responsible and lecturer for the courses Behaviour of Joint Cognitive Systems in Complex Environments I and II. More information can be found at the Swedish course pages (Kognitiva systems beteende i komplexa miljöer del I: 729A52, del II: 729A53). During spring 2008 I'm responsible for the course Risk and Accident Analysis (729A31).
