2004 FDA174 Principles of Object-Oriented Modeling and Simulation of Dynamic Systems The course gives an introduction to the Modelica language to people who are familiar with basic programming concepts. It gives a basic introduction to the concepts of modeling and simulation, as well as the basics of object-oriented component-based modeling for the novice, and a an overview of modeling and simulation in a number of application areas. 2004 FDA167 Mathematical Aspects of Object-Oriented Modeling and Simulation The investigation of dynamical systems in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering usually requires a mathematical modeling of the system behavior. This graduate course provides an understanding on the mathematical aspects of object-oriented modeling and simulation based on Modelica. However it differs from traditional numerical analysis courses in that it focuses on the understanding of symbolic and numerical techniques necessary to build simulation language compilers rather than on isolated detailed analyses on them.
