I have been a devoted photographer since I was a toddler, mainly due
to my father’s (and his friends’) interest, with frequent
slide shows where each and every picture was analysed from all possible
angles (light, composition, ASA values, film etc.). (My father,
Hilding Eklund
gives frequent slide shows/talks around Stockholm, by the way.)
Having grown up with slides (still superior quality), I have recently
become interested in digital photography and its inherent possibilities,
like creating panoramas like the ones shown on my
Travel page.
Still, in my portfolio slides still outnumber digital pictures (despite
the price difference), and an approximation of the number of slides in
my photography cupboard counts around 15,000 pictures (give or take a
few hundred).
Professionally, my pictures have been used by the Swedish daily newspapr
Svenska Dagbladet,
book and film project in Australia and the United States, and for e.g.
conference proceedings (but since I was the editor of the said proceedings,
that does not really count).
Recently, I have also turned my interest into high-definition film,
hence the “film capture” images at various places on this
homepage.
