UPLIFT GAMES

Over the years I've produced a bunch of print'n'play games and I thought it was time to gather them all in one accessible place.

Disclaimer: These games were made with imagery and other resource taken without explicit permission by anyone. Use at your own risk!

Resistance: Junta [components] [rules]
Players: 4-6 (5-6)
Time: 60-90 min
Additional Components Needed: Game money, about 25 $1 bills, 25 $5 and 15 $10 bills.

This game is a re-implementation of the game "Junta", with the style from the Resistance universe. The game is basically Junta without the long and horrible combat rounds.

Mutiny on the Enterprise [cards] [rules]
Players: 4-8
Time: 20-40 min
Additional Components Needed: ~50 chips

This game is based on an older Norwegian game called "Mytteriet på Little Blue". I streamlined the game and eliminated the set collection mechanic therein.

In this wheel'n'deal game one player is the Captain and steers the enterprise to various destinations. The other players roles are hidden and the captain must chose one to accompany him to the surface of the planet. Only after agreeing is the other players role revealed and the players are paid accordingly. In particular, the captain must try to not chose the mutineer. When doing so the mutineer replaces the captain immediately.

TEAM KILL [cards, rules and box art]
Players: 4-20ish
Time: 2 min/player
Additional Components Needed: none

This game is entirely my own design (except for the images). The setting is directly based on the movie Battle Royal.

From the game rules: You were all looking forward to your class trip. You'd spent so much time raising money so you'd be able to afford a trip to a tropical island. However, on the boat ride out you are all gassed. When you wake up some anonymous men instruct you that you will compete in a Battle Royal, where only the sole survivor will be allowed to leave the island. One by one, you get to pick up a back pack with one random item within, and leave and set out on the island. What terror! How will you survive this terrible ordeal? You open up your bag, your stomach churns at the sight of what's inside. How will you be able to survive, knowing your neither the strongest nor the smartest in the class...

Braggart! [cards and rules]
Players: 3-10
Time: 60 min
Additional Components Needed: ~50 tokens, pencil, paper

This game is also entirely my own design. I lost interest in developing it when I realized there is another game with the same name with almost exactly the same game mechanics and setting.

From the game rules: In braggart, players take on the roles of bragging warriors who are sitting around a table at a tavern. Each turn, one player takes on another role (a judge) who the other players must convince that they are the ``greatest warrior''. The players brag about themselves by playing a selected sentence (a set of cards) in front of the judge while the judge has his eyes shut. When each player has committed his sentence, the judge opens his eyes and reads the sentences one by one. Whoever the judge decides is the mightiest, or most suitable warrior, wins the round and collects victory points. Whoever has the most victory points at the end of the game, is proclaimed the winner.

Not my game..
Spacestation 13
Players: 3-16
Time: 20-30 min
Additional Components Needed: Smart phones/Laptops for each player
App available here.
The Artifact [rules, sheets, tokens] [board]
Players: 2-4
Time: 90-120 min
Additional Components Needed: None.

The artifact is a reimplementation of The Last Frontier: The Artifact . This version intends to streamline the original game. The game is meant for two to four players. With two players one will control the paranoid and panicked mad scientist McCray and the other the enraged pirate captain Eastwood. With a third player, he/she will take control of the innocent Phone Company. Games with a fourth player will see a mysterious Alien on the Feynman.
