Adrian Pop Semantic Web and Natural Semantics Abstract The current web contains a huge amount of information that has no meaning from machine point of view. Semantic Web tackles this problem and provides languages to express information in a machine processable form. Natural Semantics [Kahn1987] is formalism used to specify the semantics of programming languages. Relation Meta-Language (RML) is a practical language for writing natural semantics specifications. The specifications can be compiled to a highly efficient code. The talk focus on how can RML bring tool support for various areas in the Semantic Web: - Generators for ontology checkers - Checking Semantics of Web Sites The talk will be informal. Semantic Web, Natural Semantics and RML will be briefly presented.
