TDTS09: Questions for Assignment 4

In addition to the Kurose/Ross lab associated with this assignment and the questions therein, you are also expected to answer the following questions.

Vinton Cerf is recognized as one of the fathers of the Internet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vint_Cerf). I expect you to read the interviews in the text book of him and Leonard Kleinrock, as well as view the following youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYwnqVrjlwQ

1. Please write a paragraph that explains the relationship between the contributions made by Kleinrock and Cerf with regards to the current Internet. (To verify your claims/assumptions you may also want to use google scholar, for example, to have a look at some of their works.)
2. Use the appropriate RFCs to answer how much bigger/smaller the IPv4 header is compared to the IPv6 header. Please explain the main differences in your own words.
