8/4  Assignments for Higher Grades

The handed in materials for higher grades in TDDD75 have now been graded and commented. You can pick them up on paper in the box outside my office. Ove Jansson has be co-examining teacher on the critical reviews.

26/3  Try This at Home Assignments

If you aim at higher grades: please include also some kind of reflective text that highlights what you have learned from doing the try this at home assignments. That will make it easier for me to assess your understanding of them. Update 26/3: If you already have handed in without any such reflections you don't have to supplement it. It just makes it a little easier for me to assess it with such reflections. If you want to hand in on paper, then there is a box outside my office.

24/2  Co-creation and Prototype Testing

At today's session, we set up how the different groups can collaborate to co-create and prototype test. Remember to test your assumptions and test against metrics for your desired impacts. Get in contact with the other groups so that you can schedule when and where to meet.

  • Group 1 and 9 co-create and test each others prototypes.
  • Group 2 and 6 co-create and test each others prototypes.
  • Group 3 and 7 co-create and test each others prototypes.
  • Group 5 and 8 co-create and test each others prototypes.
  • Group 4 have already made other plans for their testing.

You can find the contact persons to the groups here.

24/2  Prototype Testing Workshop

There is no ordinary lecture today. Instead, the plan is that you should team up with another group and test each others prototypes. So bring your prototypes and use each other as test users.

15/2  Next Lecture and Muddy Cards Evaluation

Two information points.

1. The next lecture on Wednesday i about prototype testing. Those who have taken a course previously in interaction design, human-computer interaction, or usability are going to recognise quite a bit of the material.

2. Please answer the two questions long midway course evaluation. Contact me if you have not received the link to the questionnaire over email.

4/2  Presentation

I have received questions about how to prepare the presentation and how to hand in material. I would like you to prepare a presentation in Powerpoint, PDF or Keynote where you visualize the results of the methods you have used that in the end lead up to the design brief and the design criteria. I would also like you to send me a copy of it or a link to it if the file is too large to mail.

There is no requirement that all people in the group should speak at the presentation or something like that.

27/1  Supervision sessions

Next week we have the first supervision session. We have two lecture rooms booked for these sessions. My plan for them is that you go there at just keep working in your groups and I will walk around and give feedback and answer questions depending on where you are in you sessions. When I come up to your group you tell me what you are working on and what the tricky parts currently are. The supervision sessions are hence a resource for the group work.

26/1  Project groups and seminars

The seminar groups and the project groups are now up on the web site. Please check that your names are correct and that I have not missed anyone.

One person in every group is assigned as a contact person. That means that the examiner will email that person to get in touch with the group. You can change contact person.

Furthermore, let examiner know if you are a Swedish speaking student that would like to change to the English speaking seminar. That would make the Swedish speaking seminar groups smaller.

19/1  Changes in the time table

Since there were som many participants we have had to change lecture halls. Check TimeEdit. The lecture tomorrow, Wednesday 21/1, will be in S26 in the C-building.

13/12  Website is updated

The course info on this site is now updated for 2016. Minor changes may be made before the course starts.
