2009‑01‑28  Subversion

The Subversion repostories are now ready for use. We have created a repository for each of the lab groups (of two students) according to the current webreg registrations. The lab instructions explain the repository URL format.

The group members have read and write access to their group repository using their regular login. If you for some reason are not doing the labs together, you must must change the webreg group to reflect reality and to get access to the correct repository. If so, send e-mail to the course assistant.

A FAQ section has been added to the course homepage to address some common questions students have asked.

2008‑02‑06  Subversion working

The access problem with the Subversion repositories has been resolved. Hopefully, commits will work better now.

2008‑02‑04  Map of TDDD24

In order to clarify the relationship between the lectures and the labs, we have created a map of TDDD24, which shows an overview of the dependencies among the lectures and labs. Please note that the labs often require self studies in addition to the lectures and that some of the lectures cover material that is generally useful for web programmers, but not necessarily used directly in one of the labs of this particular course.

2008‑02‑04  No lecture on February 7

There will be no lecture on February 7. This is a reserve lecture slot, which is not needed. The next lecture will be on Monday February 11 at 13.15-15.00.

2008‑02‑04  Subversion problem

There seems to be a problem with accessing the Subversion repositories. Specifically, commits fail with a permission-denied error. We are working with the system administrator to fix this problem. In the mean time, please proceeded with the lab work without version control until the access problem is solved.

2008‑02‑01  Lab 3 Joomla

Adding some links for developing Joomla components.

2008‑01‑31  Subversion

The Subversion repostories are now ready for use. We have created a repository for each of the lab groups (of two students) according to the webreg registrations. The repository URLs have the format https://svn-und.ida.liu.se/courses/TDDD24/2008-1-PRA1/group_{x}-{n}/ where {x} and {n} are the group letter and subgroup number in webreg. For example, the URL for group A 1 in webreg is https://svn-und.ida.liu.se/courses/TDDD24/2008-1-PRA1/group_a-1/

The group members have read and write access to their group repository using their regular login. If you for some reason are not doing the labs together, you must must change the webreg group to reflect reality and to get access to the correct repository. If so, send e-mail to the course assistant.

2008‑01‑25  Course registration

Those who would like to get registered on the course should fill out the "Complementary course..." application form available outside the office of Ms. Yvonne Hoffmann and put the form in the "IN" box. In case you are not following any study program, such as civilingenjörs, högskoleingenjörs, or master's program, you should instead use the form labeled "Anmälan till kurs på program vid Tekniska Högskolan".

2008‑01‑23  Course expanded

Due to the popularity of TDDD24, we will get additional resources for accommodating more students. This means that all the students who have expressed interest in taking the course will be able to do so. The administrators are working to register those who signed up. The registration will show up in the student portal and, a day later, in the webreg system, which is now open for lab sign up until Friday January 25.

2008‑01‑21  To non-registered students interested in TDDD24

If you are interested in taking this course but are not registered, there is a list where you can sign up to express you interest in following the course. Note that we cannot promising anything to anyone at this point. We just like to how many students are interested and their names and e-mail addresses. The list is located on a bill board right opposite to the office of the course assistant.

2008‑01‑18  Labs instructions available

An early version of the lab instructions is now available. Please note that these instructions are preliminary and that there might be further changes, corrections, and clarifications. We are publishing the instructions at this point to give students a chance to study the instructions prior to the start of the scheduled lab work.

2008‑01‑14  Sign up for labs

The webreg system is now open for sign up for labs. Please note that you must sign up for the labs to participate in the course. Also, note that webreg is only open for students registered for TDDD24. The deadline for sign up is January 18.

2008‑01‑14  I am not registered. Can I take this course anyway?

We have been getting several questions from students who are not registered for TDDD24 if they can take the course anyway. The answer is that this course is full. The course has 128 registered students and it is staffed accordingly. However, if it turns out that some of the registered students do not start the course (i.e., do not sign up for the labs before the deadline) there might be an opening for unregistered students.

There is now a preliminary course-information document available (subject to change).
