January 31Changes to the lab schedule
From now on your lab sesions will be held in SU12 and SU13 (not SU14). The times are the same as before - we have just removed one lab room.

"Introduction to Biometrics" by Jain et al is replacing "Handbook of fingerprint recognition" by Maltoni et al. See the literature list for more details.

There are minor changes (clarifications) to the lab instructions for lab 1. The changes are described on the
lab page. Also note that the lab schedule has been updated. From February 2 and forward we will only use two lab rooms instead of three.

January 12Sign up for the lab series
Passing the non-mandatory lab series will give you extra exam credits which are valid for all three exam occasions during 2012. For detailed rules regarding the labs, see the
lab page. If you decide to take the labs, sign up in
Webreg at latest January 20.

This course consists of five topics. These will remain the same as last year, namely: 1) system security, 2) identification and authentication, biometric user authentication, 3) network security, 4) risk analysis and 5)business continuity planning, physical security.
