Course information

The course is given for the master students in "Statistics and Data Mining" but can be also taken as a single subject course by the students satisfying entry requirements (such are the majority of students from other technical master programs or students from the engineer programs.) The aim of the course is to discuss how classical and modern advanced visual tools can be used for the analysis of any kind of data. See Course Plan for more details.

The course book is "Visualize This: The FlowingData Guide to Design, Visualization, and Statistics " by Nathan Yau, ISBN 9780470944882. The book can be bought, for instance, at Adlibris. All course participants are strongly advised to have the book.
