Concepts in the minds of human beings underlie these issues. Algorithm and data together, are models of the behavior of these concepts. Most traditional modeling support systems are based on the architecture of the executing hardware machines, and little attention has been given to the requirements of the underlying concepts.In this report we extract results from psychology as a starting point and consider the programming situation from that point of view. We use the resulting perspective to search for answers to a number of basic questions: What is the relation between concepts and their executable realizations? How do we achieve the necessary model power implied by this relation? Why are not traditional systems adequate?}, IDANR = {LiTH-IDA-R-88-43}
