Methods for presentation of statistics in Teligent Messaging System
Teligent AB in Linköping has developed a platform for intelligent services in telecom networks. The subsystems of the platform generate a large amount of statistics. It has previously been difficult to extract and present the useful and valuable information. There has not been any graphical visualization of the statistics.
It might be hard to interpret data in the form of tables. A better way to present statistics is with graphical diagrams. This final thesis aims to improve existing routines for extracting and presenting statistics in Teligent Messaging System.
The goal of this work is to graphically present statistics in a clear, easily accessible and user-friendly way. Visualizing the statistics in the form of diagrams and using a web-based user-friendly interface achieves this.
The result is a program that collects data from a database containing statistical information and presenting it using tables and diagrams on a web page. It is possible to state which data to collect and to schedule when this should be done.
With the new program it becomes easier for non-computer experts to take advantage of the statistics, this thanks to a new and improved user interface. It is also much easier to incorporate the result when it is presented graphically.
