Master Thesis - Past Projects - AbstractA Webserver in the Data Transfer Unit of the JAS39 GripenID: LiTH-IDA-Ex-01/58 Use of the World Wide Web is increasingly widespread throughout the world with many applications currently available for communicating with web servers. In embedded computer systems, web servers allow the interactive communication with the system without needing specialized software on the client side. This thesis work investigates the possibility of creating and embedding a web server in the Data Transfer Unit of the JAS 39 Gripen aircraft. The Data Transfer Unit is a small computer system used to transfer data between the aircraft and on-ground support systems. A comparison is also performed between the application development environment available for the Data Transfer Unit, including the real-time operating system, pSOS, and the development environment available on traditional UNIX systems.
