This email gives you more detailed information about the workshop organization. Additionally, we would like to remind you of the deadline for title submission. Best regards, Peter Pritzson and Patrik Nordling Workshop aims This workshop is the seventh in a series of workshops on Compilers for Parallel Computers. Previous workshops were held in Oxford (1989), Paris (1990), Vienna (1992), Delft (1993), Malaga (1995), and Aachen (1996). The program will contain both standard presentations and indepth reviews of recent research and developments in the field of compiling for parallel computers, including runtime environments for language support on parallel machines, and software engineering aspects of compilers. Relevant performance issues will also be covered. A major aim of the workshop is to give researchers in the field the opportunity to exchange new results and participate in informal discussions. In the past, this strategy has been very successful. Attendance at the workshop will be by invitation only. Important dates March 15 : Submission of presentation titles April 1 : Preliminary program and registration information May 20 : Submission of papers June 29 - July 1 : Workshop Submission of presentations We invite you and your collaborators to attend the workshop. If you would like to give a presentation, please send a title to the workshop organizer before March 15 so that we can set up a preliminary program. Proceedings In accordance with the previous events, papers need not be original but should reflect the contents of the presentation. Local proceedings will be printed and distributed to the participants. For authors who want to make their articles electronically available this can be accomplished via an electronic version of the proceeding maintained online by the Linkoping University Electronic Press (see: http://www.ep.liu.se/) Layout guidelines: 1. Papers should not exceed 12 pages. 2. The text area will be approxwimatelly 17 by 24 cm. 3. Papers should be printed without page numbers. 4. Two column pages are encouraged. 5. Submission is by email in uuencoded postscript form to the workshop organizer. Deadline: May 20 Submit papers by sending a Ghostview-readable Postscript file containing the paper to cpc98@ida.liu.se. Alternatively, send three copies of the paper by postal mail to Peter Fritzson; concurrently send an e-mail to cpc98@ida.liu.se notifying that the paper version has been sent. The paper copy should be avaiable should arrive before submission dead line. Workshop location The workshop will be held at Vadstena Klosterhotell close to Linkoping which provides lecture rooms as well as a guestrooms for the participants. Vadstena is a nice medieval city at the shore of one of Sweden's most attractive lakes. At the end of June there is almost midnight sun in this part of Sweden.
