CAISOR Memos and Project Reports
CAISOR Memos
Articles that are written specifically for inclusion in the CAISOR
website will be called CAISOR Memos. Their topics may be of several
kinds:
- Introduction, survey or tutorial for a research topic that is
covered in this site;
- Historical background about the emergence of a particular
field of study;
- New research materiel on a topic that is position between or
outside established research topics, making it difficult to
publish by conventional means;
- Debate notes or articles;
- Notes on methodology of research.
CAISOR Memos are included in some of the 'structured' divisions
of this website (Welcome, Hyperbook, Projects, etc). In addition,
the present division provides a chronological listing of these
Memos for the sake of reference and overview
At this point no CAISOR Memos have yet been added to the site.
CAISOR Project Reports
While CAISOR Memos are for year 2005 onwards and address research issues,
CAISOR Project Reports are an archive of organizational documents, such
as annual and final progress reports of a research group, presentations
for the general public, and the like. Documents from earlier years will be
accumulated gradually into this archive. In most cases these documents
are cited in the webnotes under section for 'Projects' (selectable in
the top-line menu).
Persistence and Citability
Persistence will be an important consideration for the Memos as
well as for all other parts of the CAISOR website. Each memo has
its own index page with a persistent URL, therefore, and links to
these index pages are encouraged.
