Titeln på rapporten är: Development of a real-time multi-sensor data
acquisition and tracking system.
Abstract
The ability of tracking moving object is very essential. The Swedish
Defence Research Agency (FOI),has developed a multi-sensors tracking
system that can analyse data from different sensors and track moving
objects accordingly. The system is using an IR-camera and mm-radar for
the data acquisition, together with a mathematic software toolkit
called Matlab, for data analyses. To take full advantage of the
multi-sensor tracking theory, more sensors have to be added to the
system, together with a moving platform for steering the sensors in
space, which is necessary for tracking moving objects. Also a better
solution for analysing the collected data other than using Matlab is
preferred.
FOI possess today a platform and a video camera that can be used with
the multi-sensor system. The thesis work proposes a motion-control
card for controlling the platform, and integrates a video camera as an
additional sensor. It also provides a tracking software component, for
analysing the data and controlling the multi-sensor system in a
real-time distributed system, QNX.
The result of this thesis is an extension of the multi-sensor system
mentioned above. It includes new hardware components such as a
motion-control card, a video camera with a software driver, and a
driver for the moving platform. The new hardware drivers are
implemented in C++, in the QNX operating system.
