Service design is a design field where services, be they performed through digital, manual or multiple channels, are the main design object. The value of aa service is a process of co-creation, often between a customer and service personnell. As a consequence of that, services are both platforms for social action and an interplay between complex systems. A service designer enact, embody, visualize and choreograph possible future services, and help organisations transform into service organisations. We are especially interested in studying the designers role in service development and innovation, as well as understand and develop well founded design methods and techniques that answer to the needs of developing good services.
