Introduction to PBL Seminar, September 16-17

(not included in registration fee)

For conference delegates that do not have any or only little previous experience in problem-based learning, we arrange an introduction seminar in connection to the conference. The seminar starts at 1.00 p.m. September 16 and ends by lunchtime September 17.

The aim is to illustrate general principles and models for PBL in different educational programs.

The participants will take part in educational situations typical for problem-based educational programs. The seminar will be based on group activities and discussions dealing with central aspects of PBL. Particularly the concepts of learning and knowledge will be addressed as will the role of the tutor.
Students will act as tutors and will also demonstrate tutorial sessions. There will be opportunities to discuss PBL with students and teachers representing different educational programs.

Registration requires participation both days. The registration fee, SEK 1500, includes coffee and a regular meal on the evening September 16. Please register on the ordinary registration form. (Number of participants is limited)

Employees at Linköping University, please use the separate LiU registration form.
