The 4th Conference on Computer Science and Systems Engineering

Call For Papers

The Excellence Centre in Computer Science and Systems Engineering (ECSEL) has the pleasure to announce the 4th Ph.D. Student Conference on Computer Science and Systems Engineering. The focus of the conference is on the research and practical issues related to the interplay between computing and systems engineering in the design and use of complex systems. The goal of the conference is mainly to gather the Ph.D. students into an environment for the exchange of knowledge and experiences beyond the thematic research areas. Researchers and representatives from industry will also be contributing to the conference. The conference program will include invited talks by senior researchers and leading industry representatives, as well as paper and poster presentations by Ph.D. students. For the poster sessions we encourage electronic and motion posters created using www technology.

Submissions

Contributions fall into the categories below:
  • ongoing research and/or obtained results
  • thesis proposals including problem analysis and possible approach(es)
  • interdisciplinary research and development activities, such as results achieved from project-oriented studies
  • results and experiences from projects driven in cooperation with industry

As the goal of CCSSE is to have a creative environment where Ecsel members share and exchange their research ideas, we also invite the submission of prepublished original papers. Full papers should not exceed 4000 words (15 pages) and should be writen according IEEE format for proceedings. If you are submitting a paper that has already been published, please explicitely state the source of publication. Deadline for submission is September 16, 2002.
